Privacy
Everyone who enters this race is a child. We have tried to collect as little as possible, keep it in one place, and delete the sensitive part as soon as the event is over.
Who we are
Wayanad Kidathon is organised by Wayanad Round Table 277, Sulthan Bathery, Wayanad, Kerala. Questions about anything on this page go to hello@kidathon.in or the helpline.
What we collect, and why
- Your child's name, date of birth and gender — to place them in the right race, print the bib and write the certificate.
- An age proof document — because there is prize money, and the first three finishers in every race are checked.
- Your name and WhatsApp number — to send the chest number and race-day information, and to reach you if something changes.
- Your town and chosen collection point — to pack the right kits for the right place.
- School and class — optional, and used only for our own reporting and for press coverage of the event.
- Whether your child ran in 2025 — optional, one tap, and used only to count how many children come back.
What we deliberately do not collect
We do not ask for medical information, addresses, income, religion, caste, or your child's photograph. We do not ask for an Aadhaar number, and where an Aadhaar card is used as an age proof we ask that the number be covered.
We do not track you
This website carries no advertising trackers of any kind. There is no Meta Pixel, no Google Ads tag and no advertising profile built from your visit. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without identifying anybody. Fonts are served from this website rather than from a third party, so no outside company learns that you visited.
Who sees your child's details
A small number of named Wayanad Round Table 277 volunteers, each signing in individually, and only for running the event. Age proof documents are stored privately and can only be opened by those volunteers through a signed-in page — they are never publicly reachable, and every time one is opened it is recorded.
Nothing is sold, rented or given to sponsors. Sponsors receive counts, never names or numbers.
Payments
Payments are handled by Razorpay. We never see or store your card number, UPI PIN or bank details — only whether a payment succeeded, and a payment reference. Razorpay handles that information under its own policy.
How long we keep it
- Age proof documents are deleted by 31 December 2026, once the races are over and prizes are settled.
- Names, chest numbers and results are kept as the record of the event.
- Your contact details are kept so we can tell you about the next Kidathon. Ask us to remove them at any time and we will.
Your choices
You can ask to see what we hold about your child, correct it, or have it deleted. Call the helpline or email us with your reference number. We will act on it within 30 days. Deleting an entry before race day means the child cannot run, so we will check that is what you meant.
Photographs
Photographs and video are taken at the event and may be used by Wayanad Round Table 277 in reports, press coverage and future Kidathon material. If you would prefer your child not to be photographed, tell us on the helpline before race day and we will let the photographers know.
Changes
If this page changes in a way that matters, we will say so on the website. Last updated September 2026.
