Terms of entry
Plain terms for a children's race. By entering a child you accept these.
The event
Wayanad Kidathon 2026 is a running event for children, organised by Wayanad Round Table 277, held on Sunday 22 November 2026 at St. Mary's College Ground, Sulthan Bathery, Wayanad, with the first race flagged off at 7:00 AM.
There are six races: boys and girls, over 800 M (ages 5–8), 2 KM (ages 9–12) and 4 KM (ages 13–16).
Who can enter
Children aged 5 to 16 as on 22 November 2026. A parent or legal guardian must make the entry. One entry is one child; each child needs their own entry and their own payment.
Age
An age proof must be uploaded with every entry — a birth certificate, school identity card or transfer certificate. The first three finishers in every race are checked against it before prizes are handed over. An incorrect age means disqualification, and the entry fee is not returned in that case.
Places
Each race has a fixed number of places. When a race fills it closes, and there is no waiting list. There is no registration on race day. Entries close on 15 November 2026.
An entry is confirmed only when the payment has gone through and a chest number has been issued. Until then the place is held for a short time only.
Health and responsibility
By entering, you confirm that your child is in good health and fit to run the distance, and you take responsibility for their participation. A doctor and an ambulance are on site and the course is marshalled, but the organisers are not responsible for injury or loss beyond the duty of care any organiser owes, and you should not enter a child who is unwell.
The organisers may stop a race, delay it, or ask a child to withdraw where safety requires it.
Prize money
Prize money is awarded to the first three finishers in each of the six races, a total of ₹93,000. It is paid by bank transfer to the parent's account after the results and age checks are settled, not handed over in cash on the day. The decision of the appointed judges is final.
Weather
The races are held in rain. Lightning is the only condition that stops them, in which case the races are delayed within the same morning. A delay is not a cancellation.
Fees, transfers and refunds
See the refunds and cancellation policy. In short: fees are not refundable, but an entry can be transferred to another child in the same race, free of charge, until 8 November 2026.
Photographs
Photographs and video are taken at the event and may be used by Wayanad Round Table 277 in reports, press coverage and future Kidathon material.

Timings, routes and arrangements may change for safety or on the instruction of the authorities. Any change will be published here and sent to registered parents.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and any dispute falls to the courts at Wayanad, Kerala.
